The Top 5 Christmas Musts in Grand Rapids

"It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” and it truly is “the most wonderful time of the year,”
especially in Grand Rapids! Take a look at “a few of our favorite things” to do in GR around the holiday season…

The Broadway Bar

When it comes to Christmas decorating, the Broadway Bar takes it to another level.  Located at 740 Broadway Avenue NE, you'll have no trouble finding the place. It will be the only building with a giant snow man on the roof. For years the Broadway Bar has continued to outdo themselves with elaborate lights, ornaments, wreaths, singing Santas and snow globes. Unless your name is Scrooge or the Grinch, you will love this winter wonderland. In fact, we'd go as far as to say you haven't truly experienced Christmas in Grand Rapids until you've been to the Broadway Bar. Between the decorations, delicious burgers and draught beer, you are sure to have a holly jolly time.

Rosa Parks Circle is the Rockefeller Center of Grand Rapids....except better because it's in Grand Rapids.  Take to the ice in the heart of downtown GR for this essential Christmas experience. Whether you are an experienced skater or a beginner, this is a fun and festive activity that everyone can enjoy. Listen to the sounds of Christmas music while you glide effortlessly (or shuffle clumsily) across the ice.  And don't worry if you don't have your own skates, they are available to rent for free when you show your ID. Admission is $2 for adults (18 and up) and $1 for youth.
