7 Breakfast Places in Grand Rapids That Will Brighten Your Mornings

Real Food Cafe:

We honestly can say that we have never met anyone who didn’t like this place. If you don’t believe us, just look at the countless reviews that afford it a rating of 8 out of 789 restaurants in Grand Rapids on trip advisor. Located in the heart of the Alger Heights business district, Real Food is a neighborhood favorite. Free Tip: Make sure to bring some cash or checks, because they won’t accept anything else.

Brandywine:

This family owned breakfast, brunch, and business lunch restaurant is a favorite of ours. Located in East Grand Rapids off of Lake Dr. is conveniently close to downtown. It has a casually funky atmosphere with pictures of happy customers strewn about its walls. The food is delicious and the service is always friendly. They also have another location north of town off of the East Beltline.

Cherie Inn:

This sophisticated breakfast spot located just west of Eastown in the East Hills business district is Grand Rapids’ longest running restaurant, dating back to 1924! With a Parisienne café feel and menu options that are as diverse as they are delicious, you will see why Cherie Inn has been around for nearly 100 years.

Wolfgangs:

Locals and out-of-towners agree that Wolfgangs has some of the best breakfast in town! Located in the heart of Eastown, this popular early-bird destination is nothing short of phenomenal. Their Uncle Ron’s Skillet and Tiramisu pancakes are just a couple of our favorites!

Anna's House:

Anna’s House is fairly new to the food scene in Grand Rapids, but it has already made quite the impression. With a commitment to all-natural, fresh, local ingredients and a vibrant 1950’s diner atmosphere, it is no surprise to us the Anna’s House is quickly gaining a name for itself. From the toasters on the wall, to the unique and delicious items on the menu, this place is anything but ordinary.

Westsider Cafe:

This little hidden treasure on the west side of town is definitely worth checking out. Regulars rave about its American, Cuban, and Polish influences. If you are looking for a welcoming environment, generous portions, and prices that will make your jaw drop (in a good way,) look no further, the Westsider is our pick for best-kept breakfast secret in Grand Rapids.

Sundance Bar & Grill

A local favorite with two locations in Cascade and downtown GR. They boast generous and delicious breakfast and lunch menu items with a  South Western flair. A sister restaurant to Bagel Beanery (another great Grand Rapids breakfast for those of you on the go!)
